Dr. Gary McCord

Dr. Gary McCord of South Point Family Dentistry is a proud Gaston County native. Dr. McCord treats his patients with care, focusing on comfort and high quality.

He graduated with Honors in Pre-Med from North Carolina State University. Dr. McCord then graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.). The Following year, Dr. McCord was chosen to serve an additional year of advanced training in the Dental Residency Program at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, now known as Carolinas Medical Center – Atrium.

Dr. McCord is an active member of the Belmont Rotary Club and enjoys history and aviation.

Dr. Christopher Maino

Dr. Christopher Maino was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He came to North Carolina after practicing dentistry in Michigan for over 20 years. Dr. Maino is willing and eager to listen to his patients, and to help them solve their dental needs together.

He finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. He then attended and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Maino was selected for advanced training and attended the General Practice Residency at The Medical College of Ohio.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Maino enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Many of his favorite activities include golf, hockey, exercise and cooking.

Dr. Matthew Rodda

Dr. Matthew Rodda grew up in Upstate New York. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, he pursued further education by completing a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York. Through this training, Dr. Rodda gained extensive knowledge in state-of-the-art general dentistry and treating medically complex patients.

Dr. Rodda prides himself on providing personalized, comfortable, and high-quality care. He works hard to ensure his patients are educated and understand all their treatment options, so they may choose the best way to reach their dental health goals. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and provides a broad range of treatment services. Dr. Rodda is routinely engaged in continuing education and stays up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Spear Education.

Dr. Rodda is excited to be a part of the Charlotte, North Carolina community. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. Some of his favorite activities include exercising, exploring the outdoors, traveling, playing guitar, and listening to live music.

Dr. Annelise Perez

Dr. Annelise Perez grew up in the Dominican Republic and became interested in health science from a young age. She pursued a career in Dentistry at Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic, obtaining a Doctor in Dental Surgery degree. After moving to the United States, she then completed the Advanced Standing Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduation, she completed a one year General Practice Residency in New York at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital where she got to expand her knowledge and clinical skills.

Being fluent in English and Spanish, she enjoys helping patients improve their oral health and guide them to a better understanding of how to prevent dental diseases. Dr. Perez is very empathic when it comes to dental anxiety, helping patients to be more comfortable during their visits. She is dedicated to connecting and building relationships with patients while also seeking to provide the best care possible. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Mark Ranzinger

Dr. Ranzinger grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. Following graduation, Dr. Ranzinger proudly served our country with his dental skills in the United States Air Force. During his service, Dr. Ranzinger and his wife loved living in North Carolina and relocated to the Charlotte area, where they have enjoyed raising their family.

Dr. Ranzinger enjoys treating patients of all ages and has done so for over 20 years. With this experience, he strives to provide high-quality dental care and is known for being conscientious and putting his patients first. He cares about his patients’ comfort and wants to provide them with all the information needed to make great treatment decisions. Dr. Ranzinger performs all aspects of general dentistry. He takes pride in enhancing the health and smiles of his patients.

He is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Ranzinger’s hobbies include hiking, camping, watching football, and home repair. He is an active volunteer in the community and tries to always be at his children’s events.
